Uniquely Downingtown has been created mainly through the lens of an Olympus C-2100 Ultra Zoom digital camera. Most images have been recorded as 1024 X 768 Low-Compression (meaning "high quality") JPEGs, and have been cropped and resized for use on this site. Some retouching has been done to sharpen or adjust image contrast. You may contact Uniquely Downingtown to request copies of original images.
Other tools used to develop this site include MicroGrafx's Webtricity for image editing, a basic text editor for creating the HTML and PHP code, a basic FTP program for uploading files to the server and IBM's HotMedia® for the Panoramas.

The site has been totally revised to be database driven and display scenes on the fly. This enables new features, such as allowing you to check what additions have been made since your last visit and the ability to send scenes to your family and friends as e-Postcards. It also makes it much easier for us to update and maintain the site. These enhancements are made possible through the use of PHP.
